The photographs were taken in complete darkness, without knowing what was being photographed or if the images were in focus. Ginkgo leaves were collected while walking in autumn; one leaf is suspended in the space on a thin red thread stretched across the room and threaded through a tiny hole in the wall. A ticking clock is hidden behind a wall and is only audible when the room is completely silent.
